I would like to request the addition of integrity checks for systemInfo in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
Currently, the client‑provided systemInfo is not verified for authenticity. Because of this, modified or spoofed device information can bypass server‑side checks, which reduces the safety of Realms and general multiplayer environments.
Why this is a problem • systemInfo can be easily spoofed on unsupported or modified devices • Servers cannot reliably identify the client’s real environment • Safety features that rely on systemInfo become ineffective
Why legitimate players would not be negatively affected • Older devices such as Android 8 or iPhone 8 are already below minimum requirements or non‑recommended • Rooted devices and custom ROMs are not officially supported • MDM‑managed devices are not intended for gaming use → Therefore, the number of legitimate players impacted by integrity checks would be extremely small
What I am requesting • Add basic integrity verification for systemInfo • Validate consistency between device model, OS version, and hardware capabilities • Detect and flag clearly impossible or modified combinations
Expected benefits • Stronger protection for Realms and multiplayer • Reduced spoofing and impersonation • Better safety for children and general players
This is not a bug report but a feature request focused on improving player safety. Thank you for considering this.
