The current snapshots have a major issue: bright yellow sulfur blocks, red cinnabar and new sulfur dripstones look too acidic. They completely ruin the dark, atmospheric look of stone and deepslate caves.
My Solution:
Natural Generation: Change the default textures for wild sulfur blocks, cinnabar ore and sulfur dripstones. Make them weathered and dusty, using a perfect mid-tone gray between stone and deepslate. They should be recognizable by their unque texture patterns, but not hurt the eyes.
Axe Interaction: Right-clicking the dysty block or dripstone with an axe strips the rocky crust away. This action reveals the clean, bright vanilla color we currently have in snapshots.
Note: This applies strictly to naturally generating full blocks and dripstones. These variants do not have stairs, slabs, or walls.
Why it`s great:
It returns the true spirit of exploration to caves by removing visual clutter.
It doubles the block palette for builders, providing both dusty and bright variants.
It works seamlessy without breaking any mob or environment logic.
