I suggest adding a consistent wind mechanic in mountainous biomes (such as Windswept Hills). The wind would always blow in a fixed and predictable direction within the biome (for example west to east, or upslope/downslope). It would slightly affect player movement by providing gentle acceleration in one direction and resistance in the opposite direction, without knocking the player back or removing control. The goal is not to make movement harder, but to make mountain traversal more dynamic and meaningful. Players would learn the wind direction and use it as a navigation and movement tool rather than constantly reacting to random changes. This could turn mountains into a more strategic transportation environment: descending becomes faster ascending becomes slower As a result, players may naturally start building infrastructure such as paths, tunnels, and wind shelters. Wind shadow areas (behind rocks or in caves) could reduce or block the effect. The wind becomes a predictable environmental factor that players can learn and use, rather than a random hazard.
