The Recipe Book is a functional utility, but it lacks the excitement of discovery found in classic adventure or fighting games. I propose a visual overhaul that transforms the crafting menu into a master roster similar to a character select screen. By displaying every item in the game from the start, players gain a clear sense of scale and a constant invitation to expand their palette. This layout would utilize three distinct visual stages to track progression: a dark silhouette for undiscovered items, a colorized icon for unlocked recipes, and a special highlight or badge for items the player has actually crafted. This change would turn the Recipe Book into a fulfilling completionist journey. In Survival mode, seeing silhouettes of unknown blocks acts as a visual prompt to explore new biomes or experiment with unfamiliar materials. It moves away from a hidden list and toward a trophy room aesthetic that rewards curiosity. Whether a player is a builder looking for inspiration or a completionist aiming to master every block, this system provides a tangible sense of accomplishment. Implementing this as a formal gameplay mechanic or achievement would give players a long term goal to fill their catalog, making every new addition feel like a hard earned reward rather than a simple notification. This transformation would capture the magic of childhood gaming where every empty slot is an invitation.
