The new Sulfur Caves biome is awesome and has great potential.
Currently, we have amethyst as a mineral, which is very valuable for crafting opaque crystals. However, geodes aren’t that easy to find, and obtaining amethyst crystals is a slow process.
The idea of amethyst forming at low depths (simulating the high pressure quartz undergoes to create amethyst) has always struck me as brilliant, since that’s how it forms in real life (in addition to containing iron).
My proposal is to add coquimbite, a material made of hydrated iron sulfates, as a block and generator.
These coquimbite blocks would be found near sulfur lakes.
It could be added as a block or an orb.
Another option is to create multicolored coquimbite geodes, since they can appear in various colors in real life (purple, blue, yellow, white).
This new material would be used exclusively for glassware.
I believe this would also encourage exploration and add a high degree of customization to the biome.
