As many in the PvP community know, Attribute Swapping is a bug that allows a player to transfer the attributes of an item onto another by swapping to that item quickly on use. This bug is simply a game breaking bug that should be fixed. While it does require some skill and practice to pull off consistently, arguably adding some depth to PvP, it allows for some quite insane things to be done. A few of the more notable examples of things it allows are listed in bold here: People can do far more damage than normal with a mace by swapping from a strong weapon when falling. This is shown most with the Breach enchantment, allowing players to do a quite insane amount of damage without even falling with the mace. Players can swap from a spear to another weapon to deal the full damage of that weapon from the extra range of the spear. Players can shorten weapon cooldowns by swapping from an item with a fast cooldown (ex. a fist) to an item with a longer cooldown (ex. an axe or mace). Players can preserve durability on weapons. Players can use the lunge enchantment on spears repeatedly (essentially the fast cooldown use for this enchantment).
While it would remove a large part of PvP combat, especially combat with the mace, it would overall balance out and help fix combat more than it would hurt the community it affects. Many beginners to PvP would enjoy this as it would allow them to integrate and learn easier without such a bug giving experienced players an unfair advantage over them.
