I am afraid you are one of the very few that want this... I personally love it as it actually makes skill barriers and its not unfair advantage if anyone can learn it

Its not unfair, its just skill level, and swapping is basicly the first thing your learn

i partly agree, i think for maces and axe and most general purposes, its fine to keep in, but the spear attribute swap is way too much. if they only stopped it for the spear, or made it a gamerulee that would be best

After actually fixing this, even with a 30ms ping, 60% of player inputs to the hotbar become ghosted, making it extremely inconvenient.
This should not have been fixed.

Attribute swapping isn't game breaking in any way and should get added back

This bug was not intended and the devs arent probably gonna like it either, they will probably add an item that replaces attribute swapping hopefully

The only people saying this is a good thing are the ones who are not good enough/ practiced enough to do it properly. Just because something is a bug it does not mean it makes the game worse. Minecraft has countless cool bugs, some of them are even de-facto features like tnt duping or floating sand

Litteral skill issue. Mace PvP is based on single, high damage attacks - its not smp PvP. The real challenge in mace PvP is to avoid getting in situations where the opponent can perform such attacks. Lunge swapping is probably the only thing making spears viable, and it adds so much cool movement to the game, while still requireing hunger. Imagine how boring spearmace PvP would be if you could only lunge about once per second, it would completely remove the fast pace of the game mode. And while attribute swapping can be pretty op sometimes, doesnt it seem wierd that top players dont just constantly attribute swap with sword and axe? Its because doing so is not consistent enough to be viable, as it requires a bit of luck + skill. And the penalty for not being successful is severe, resulting in an unchanged axe-hit. It is balanced, and a large amount of modern PvP's fast pace is built around it.

I and many others agree attribute swapping should stay in the game at least in some way wether that's through a gamerule, or just as a whole, it very skill based and has no impact on Minecraft as a standalone if you ignore competitive PvP community which if u don't ignore the pvp community majority like this feature as it raises the skill sealing and it's very satisfying to pull off, Minecraft a game that prides themselves on supporting creative play styles well this is a creative playstyle, and honestly I don't think I'll be playing newer versions for PvP if this isn't kept in the game, I've played Minecraft for years it was the first game I played and I fell in love for it's sandbox which you could practically do anything in, the main thing I enjoy now is fast paced competitive spear mace PvP which is very dependent on this feature to even exist in the first place, and I'm not the only one as it's primarily what's popular on YouTube for Minecraft all that to say please don't change this it only hurts the community thanks for your time

Attribute swapping isn't game breaking in any way and should get added back or make it a gamerule instead

Stop advocating for making the game easier for new players by hurting experienced players. This is a terrible idea. Attribute swapping should stay.

Attribute swaping is very good for Minecraft.
    We need it for PVP.

For those blaming me for it being removed, this got 50 votes twin I am not the reason lol, I do not support the temporary fix that they did do on attribute swapping due to the other issues that came with it (like item ghosts when quick swapping), and if you think its just a "skill issue" that I think it should be fixed, my user is Big_Jerry_005 and im on minemen often, duel me ft3-5 in mace
