During world creation in Minecraft, add an optional toggle called “Unserious Mode.” This mode would allow players to enable selected features inspired by April Fools updates (such as Craftmine, One Block At A Time, and similar experimental mechanics) in modern versions.
When enabled, the player must go through a short multi-step warning explaining that:
- this mode is not part of the standard experience
- gameplay may be unbalanced or misleading
- it may affect expectations of normal gameplay
The final confirmation could include a short delay to prevent skipping without reading.
After confirming, a menu appears where players can choose which experimental features to enable. Multiple features can be selected.
This mode should be clearly labeled on the world and warnings should only appear once per world.
Purpose:
April Fools updates introduce creative ideas but are temporary and limited to older versions. This mode would preserve those ideas in a controlled, optional way without affecting normal gameplay.
This is a concept, not an existing feature.
The goal is to add a separate optional mode with selected April Fools features, not to include all of them or affect normal gameplay.
To clear up some confusion
Unserious Mode is enabled during world creation. Players can select one or more April Fools features (such as Craftmine) using toggles, similar to world rules.
These options cannot be changed after the world is created, as disabling them could break the world.
