This relates to marketplace/add-ons/Minecraft Bedrock.
Minecraft Bedrock edition add-ons, once legally purchased through the Marketplace store, should be accessible for use with the player's Bedrock Edition game, including servers.
This is not always the case however, as when a player runs a dedicated bedrock server, they have no way to legally access the add-ons.
This had created a plethora of websites offering pirated copies of the add-ons, and had also dissuaded many creators from using Marketplace to offer their add-ons.
The end result is that end users, creators, and Mojang all suffer.
The reason can be entirely traced to the structure and deployment method of Marketplace.
While a simple work around could be created to fix the Minecraft issue, it would be a band-aid solution rather than a repair or the actual problem.
Marketplace itself needs to work with both UNIX and WinNT kernel based systems. This would eliminate the "walled garden" effect which has been created, and broaden the user/customer base, increasing both profits and meaning that users and creators would be less likely to distribute free or pirated content. Since the majority people will actually pay rather than pirate if possible for a reasonable price.
As there is a word limit, I shall end here and create a second submission.
