Minecraft Bedrock Edition desperately needs a major performance and mechanics parity update, especially on chunk loading and farm efficiency. Currently, Ender pearls in Bedrock do not load chunks when thrown, unlike Java Edition where they enable reliable chunk loading for travel and automated systems. This limitation cripples advanced contraptions and forces clunky workarounds. Popular farms like iron golem, sugarcane, bamboo, and crop farms run significantly slower in Bedrock due to tick rates, entity processing, and simulation distances. Java players enjoy optimized, high-yield designs producing resources at blazing speeds, while Bedrock farms feel throttled across devices. Bringing Bedrock in line with Java’s farm mechanics and enabling Ender pearl chunk loading would create true cross-edition parity, delighting the massive Bedrock player base on mobile, consoles, and Windows. This update would boost player engagement, encourage creative building, and drive marketplace purchases for maps, skins, and add-ons as communities explode with new tutorials and mega-bases. Ultimately, these quality-of-life improvements would make Minecraft more addictive and profitable for Mojang by retaining veterans and attracting technical players who prefer Java. A single focused update could revitalize Bedrock’s endgame and generate substantial long-term revenue through increased playtime and community content.
