6 hours pass as my friend and I work on a survival world together on splitscreen.
Fast forward 2 days later, we check only to find not a single bit of progress was recorded since the moment of the first spawn. Not on local storage, nothing on the cloud. It's been extremely frustrating as this is the 2nd time this has happened. The 1st time we thought was a one off, (the save and quit load bar was stuck for a full 10 minutes so we chalked it) .
This time we ensured she sign in with her own Xbox profile for splitscreen, and and both of us save and quit no matter how long it takes. It did it instantly this time and we find it doesnt seem to matter. When going to the world menu, we see the given name for the world, but a generic base spawn thumbnail with the date 12/12/19 .
We've never had this issue before, we're on the newest update and even noticed how nice the new lighting looks.
We dont need it if this is the result. How in the world is this happening when we are connected online and with cloud services? I've Uninstalled and reinstalled. Never had this issue in the past On Xbox Series X
To update: we've started a new world. Anytime vibrant visuals is on and a 2nd player joins in, the visuals turn off. This was not a restriction in the past, and it rendered just fine on splitscreen before. While we dont have the visuals the game is autosaving/saving properly now. Not sure why that would effect saves as I have the storage/processing for it, but that's where I'm at
