Ever since the Warden was added to Minecraft, one question has frequently come up among players: what would the Warden’s dimension look like?
This idea mainly comes from the color palette of the Warden and the sculk blocks, as well as a pattern that already exists in the game: each dimension has a very defined theme. The Nether, for example, revolves around fire, lava, and infernal environments. The End, on the other hand, has a much emptier, almost cosmic aesthetic, marked by mechanics like teleportation.
Following this logic, I imagined that the Warden’s dimension could have a theme connected to darkness, magic, and energy — something related to the concept of experience (XP), which is also associated with sculk.
While thinking about this, I remembered a very well-known Minecraft mod and also the Black Forest in Germany. It is a region famous for its tall, dense trees and its mysterious, shadowy atmosphere. Many myths and magical stories emerged from this environment throughout history.
From this inspiration came the idea: what if the Warden’s dimension were a vast, dark magical forest? A silent, dense, and mysterious place where darkness, sculk, and magical energy dominate the environment.
And that is how the concept of The Gloam Garden was born.
