Semi-solid blocks

Blocks which can be powered using redstone and outputs not on all sides, but either on one axis, around a corner, 3 or less directions, or everywhere except from directly ahead. This could be made using some blocks which have full sides on some sides but not on others (like stairs). Also, non-solid blocks could incorporate slime/honey versions that stick on only on some sides. I also like the idea of sticky blocks which can be turned on and off.

    cut copper could be used to embed redstone dust inside it, thus making compact redstone wiring which could possibly run up walls. These would power the block it is in if it is powered.
