Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

sea sponge

I think this should be added because sponges are almost impossible to get and sometimes when you find ocean monuments there are no sponges. In my opinion, there needs to be a new way to collect sponges.

Sea sponges randomly spawn in deep ocean biomes, warm oceans, and shallow oceans. If mined they will drop 1 sea sponge which absorbs water but not as much as normal sponges. If a bone meal is applied on the ground in the ocean sea sponge should spawn. If placed on a crafting table they can craft 2 sea sponge pieces that can be planted underwater to make more sponges.

    This is the best idea BUT it needs to be like the shulker a mob that looks like a block because in reality they are living creatures
