Brazil nut tree: this tree will have a unique texture to it's log blocks. it's logs will have vines weaving through the bark, and would be the only block on which Brazil nut pods will grow. these pods will appear in the inventory as an oval shaped plump coconut looking thing which will be put in the crafting table to craft Brazil nuts which will look like little, brown watermelon slices, and will be edible, and saturate 1/2 bars of hunger.

Cocoa tree: this tree will steal Kapok tree's ability to grow cocoa beans. it will grow tall, and will have a brownish bark color. of course, the cocoa tree will be able to grow cocoa pods, and milk chocolate bars will be added just for this tree's significance, and will saturate 2 hunger bars.

Mahogany tree: this tree will have a beautiful wood, with a tint of brightness, and yellow to an acacia colored texture. along with this tree will be mahogany nuts which are also edible, and saturate 1/2 bars of hunger just like Brazil nuts.

Coco palm: i know. i know. this will already be added with the desserts when mojang decides to, but i just thought that it would be better to add it to a tropical update instead so that i made more sense. this tree would fit into it's own family of trees. the palms. the wood would be different from all others, and would not have aging rings. and it's leaves would look more unique, and would have a four sided 2d element like a few other decoration blocks. but this tree would also drop coconuts, which give milk.

Rainbow eucalyptus: this will be one of the most unique trees in the game. it would have a beautiful rainbow colored bark, and when turned to planks, would make a set of rainbow planks to make your build more interesting. it would be tall like all the others i discussed, because I'm talking about layers too. this part is about the emergent layers where only the tallest trees spawn. it mainly gets the most sunlight, so mobs won't spawn up here, and the trees look more bright and happy.

Sunbask tree: this would be a unique tree. the bark would look like a darker tint added to birch-like brown. meanwhile the leaves would be a more turquoise color as apposed to the normal green. other wise, this tree is just like any other.

Balsa tree: Now we're getting into weird territory! this tree would mainly comprise of twisty turny trunks and branches that hold up beautiful lush-green leaves.

Tualang tree: this tree would be like a very, very tall birch tree. the leaves would range from a rich green color, to a sunny yellow. the wood would be like birch, but the logs have a different bark texture arrangement, and the wood itself would have a greenish tint.

Intsia tree: this tree would have a grey trunk with a random assortment of dark grey spots. the leaves would drop unique seed pods which would be used to plant a new tree.

Nocturnal Kapok: it's leaves will appear shriveled until night, when they start to glow yellow. the trunk has purple bark, and it gives normal Kapok planks.

Time to cover the canopy layer! this includes trees that are still tall, but are also just the right height to fill in gaps, and block the sun.

Pitcher plant tree: this tree is a tree with shiny bark rather than rough. It's long branches hold little pitcher plants hanging from vine-like things. these pitcher plants kill animals that crawl into them.

Euterpe palm: imagine a palm tree, but it has smooth bark, and is very tall. that is exactly what the Euterpe palm is. and extra tall form of palm tree. the wood i very bright, brighter than birch, and it's leaves are a different shape from coco palm's.

Walking palm: this palm is like the Euterpe palm, but it stands of tall roots like mangroves.

Acai palm: this is pretty much a Euterpe palm, but from it's bulb, it grows block sized vines that hold like millions of berries at once, and these berries saturate 1 bar of hunger.

Gaboon tree: this tree has an interesting wood type. the bark is reddish brown with a weird twisted up texture, and the wood itself, is black. pure black. it is the only black wood out there and looks beautiful.

Utile tree: this tree is very tall and very thin, and the wood inside of it's light-grey trunk is an astonishing red deeper than acacia.

Eucalyptus: this tree has an entire forest to itself. it sometimes grows in savannas, sometimes in rainforests, and are the home of the Koala.

Plants:of all the feature in this update, i think that the trees, and the plants are the most important.

Xate bush: this bush is like a fern, but its leaves are perched on top of a stalk. it drops Xatee leaves.

King fern: i believe that minecraft needs a new species of fern other than the one with the weird, spruce-like color. and so i made one. it is 2x2 blocks wide, and has a more lush, jungly color to it. it is also unique in shape.

Tropical orchids: this is a type of orchids has many different species, all of different colors.

Titian arum: this is a huge flower. this flower though, has a tall, long stalk at the center. it makes a sound when it has an animation of releasing yellow particles which attract pollinators (literally only bees at the moment).

Venus fly trap: it eats small mobs like the Goliath beetle. it also eats tools when you throw them at it.

Dragon fruit bush: this bush looks a lot like a sweet berry bushes when small and unable to fruit, but when it grows, it gets a trunk, and the thorns of the bush hang down like tentacles. Dragon fruit saturate 1-2 bars of hunger.

Giant water lily: this is pretty much a lily pad, but can grow to 3x3 blocks wide, and can hold blocks.

Indian timber bamboo: this is like normal bamboo, but can make planks which are black. it grows in two forms. growths, which are 2d blocks in which five stalks grow at once (drops up to five Indian timber bamboo),  and the stalk (gives one Indian timber bamboo).

snail bulb vine: a weird fruit hangs from this vine. the snail bulb is a red color, and is strangely shaped like a snail shell. when you get near it, it unravels, and eats you. it slowly starts digesting you, until you either die, or break out. it drops snail bulb pulp, which saturates and astonishing 3 bars of hunger.

tangled vines: they are very tangley. you cannot climb them. they slow falls though.

hanging vines: they are the vines from which monkeys swing.

Tight rope vine: they hang from tree to tree. and  you can zip line on them just as long as you are going down hill.

chameleon tale: a weird plant that literally looks like it sounds. it looks like a spiral with little red bulb-like things attached to it by stalks.

blimp leaf: this is a 3x3 block wide, and a 4 block tall plant, witch has a big balloon shaped bulb made out of leaves at the top.

tropical azealia: it pretty much looks like a normal azealia, but it has deep purple flowers.

Venus man trap: this is a plant that can eat you, and does a lot of damage, but you can get out afterwards.

Goliath pitcher plant: this is a pitcher plant that can eat you just like Venus man traps, and digests you just like snail bulbs. it can be up to 6 blocks tall, and a block wide.

Tropical drip leaf: this curious plant looks like its normal, non tropical form in some ways, it looks completely different. Weird purple colored slime drips from the end of the plant. When you right click on one with a bottle, the plant will look like a more lush colored drip leaf plant, and the bottle will fill with what is called glue slime. You can use a bottle to pick up, and place this liquid which is thin like glow lichen. If you walk through glue slime, You stick to it, and wont be able to move that fast. Other that these cool unique things it can do, it is just like its lush cave dwelling brother.
Bullet fruit plant: this plant looks a stretching stem with leaves holding a purple fruit at the end of it. When right clicked on, this plant will shed the fruit, and this so called bullet fruit will be slowly reproduced in the plant, making bullet fruit a farm-able item. This fruit is useful in three ways. First, it can be eaten and heals 2 bars of hunger. Second it can be loaded into and fired out of a cross bow. Its a bullet fruit after all! Finally, it can be placed down, and when you do, it turns into glue slime. It also turn into glue slime when it hits anything after being fired out of a cross bow.
Poke weed: this plant is kinda a wood vine. It is a plant mainly constructed of tangly vines with big sharp thorns attached to them. They do 2 hearts of damage to you without armor when you walk on them.

Tropical truffle: this curios mushroom will be the only mushroom that is two blocks tall. Its tall, yet fat stem will have spots, while the dome will remain blank. The tiny frills under neath the dome will emit an eerie glow down on the stem. The truffles can be bone-mealed in a 2x2 block formation to make tropical truffle trees.

Tropical truffle trees: these trees will mainly resemble there infant form. Their stems will be dotted with spots of every shape and size. This will be called the tropic mushroom stem, which can be right clicked with an ax to get shaved tropic mushroom stem, which looks like stripped wood, but light, purplish gray. Under the dome you can find a new block called the tropic shroom frill, which, when placed down, changes the texture of any block around it to an eerily glowing form of the original. the blocks that make up the dome (cap) are called tropical truffle cap blocks, and they have a smooth grey texture.
