Umm infected hoglin? Since it looks like the mold infects mobs who wander in it, its fair to say the hoglins are pretty stupid and wandered over

Yeah good point actually, will just need to figure out a mechanic for them, could be similar to the infected piglin. I also wanted to perhaps maybe add a feature to the mold that touching it damages you and gives the block animation like its trying to get inside the player and infect it, to really make the feel of this biome being alive. This of course could add a new potion into the mix to prevent taking damage by the mold which could be called potion of purity. Could be an enchantment added to any armour instead too.

Whilst i havent figured out a proper use for the mold spore block, i would definitely like to give it many beneficial uses considering how dangerous it would be to obtain it. There is also the mold eye that’s extremely valuable for redstone uses, as its a redstone block that detects motion. Along with the mold tendrils and jaw that can be used for good base defences. Would also plan on adding another structure in the living cavity called the Infested Barracks that could host great loot such as maybe netherite gear (see Infested Barracks Post).

Maybe another cool feature to make the living cavity feel more alive is that when too many spore blocks are mined, the living cavity gurgles and then summons mold tendril blocks from the ground that attack, to make it as if the biome is trying to protect its spore eggs.
