In Minecraft, our tools tell our story. That Pickaxe you used to mine your first Ancient Debris, or the Sword that defended your village from a raid—they aren’t just items; they are trophies of our progress. Currently, a single moment of distraction can mean those stories vanish forever when durability hits zero. We want to change that. By applying the "Elytra Logic" to all tools and armor, we are shifting the focus from loss to recovery. The Breaking Point: When an item reaches zero durability, it no longer disappears from your inventory. Instead, it enters a "Shattered" or "Blunted" state. Visual Feedback: The item icon changes to a greyed-out, cracked version of itself. Your Netherite Chestplate might look like a heavy, broken frame; your Diamond Sword might look like a jagged hilt. Zero Utility: A broken tool becomes as effective as your bare hands. It can no longer mine blocks or deal extra damage. Broken armor stays equipped but provides 0 Defense, leaving you vulnerable until it’s fixed. The Restoration: To bring a legendary item back to life, you must visit an Anvil. Because the item is structurally compromised, it requires a "Core Repair"—using the base material (like a Diamond or Netherite Ingot) and a significant amount of XP to reignite its power. This feature protects the hours of work spent on Enchantments. You no longer have to live in fear of losing your "Efficiency V" or "Mending" books to a simple mistake. Now it's time to give it a Second chance.
