Shouldn't fire resistance potion be "fire proof" potion?

You can't be on fire at all, with the potion effect. So why is it called resistance?? It literally makes you lava and firePROOF, not resistant.

    the real question is why does armor not still take fire lava damage when the player has it?
    and why does invisiblity not turn the armor invisible too?
    it can't be both right shouldn't be both.
    fire immunity
    invisiblity
    should have 2 levels
    level 1 only effects entity
    armor doesn't turn invisible
    fire lava does break armor

    level 2 also effects armor
    invisiblity armor
    unburnable armor
