The ability to lock your hot bar

Accidentally getting scared by a creeper and chucking your best pick axe or sword into lava is really not fun, so I thought HEY, WHY NOT BE ABLE TO LOCK YOUR HOTBAR SO YOU CANT THROW ITEMS OUT. I am aware that you can configure your key bindings, but I much prefer keeping it assigned to Q.

    Hello,

    If throwing stuff into lava happens often to you, then you have to change your habits of playing. The game isn't responsible for the players sloppy actions. Just like in real life, if you let your ice cream slip out of your hand, that's your fault, for not being able to hold things.

     And hotbar locks are not a solution, since switching the hotbarlock option on and off the entire time  when you need to drop something quickly could be confusing. Besides that, it would introduce a major risk of people locking their toolbars and not knowing why or what they have done or how they can fix it.
