Filtrating and purificating water

I think would be cool if we have 3 types of water: the fresh water, found in rivers aquifers and lakes you can drink and make potions with this water the dirty water, it's found on swamps and can't be drink or turned into potions first it needs to be purified in a especial item: The water filter it can be crafted using a 3x3 Crafting grid with 6 woods in the sides 3 on each and coal in the middle top sand in the middle and gravel in the middle bottom it will have a simple UI were you just put the dirty water bottle and it turns into a fresh water bottle after some time and you can find it in witch huts the last one is the salt water, that just like the dirty water can't be used to anything but you can purify it by smelting it in the furnace i think this would be cool because adds a lot of realism to minecraft

  you could also have a thirst, like the hunger, except for water because water in minecraft- ONLY used for potions and that's it, right? (Also u could maybe be able to change the water in the game mode like 'peaceful, easy, medium, hard, [e, m, and h have thirst] not thirsty'
