Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Adding The Sickle

A Sickle would be crafted with 2 (stone/wood/Iron/gold/diamond/neatherite.  In the same position as a hoe) and 1 stick.  It harvests crops while leaving their roots, so no need to replant after harvesting!  This item can also be used by a dispenser and Master higher level Villagers use these to plant in their farms.

    I actually really like this idea! i'd maybe make it 2 resources (and of course, a netherite ingot in a smithing table with a diamond version to make the netherite version, as with all netherite variants) and a stick, but this would be really useful for farms. I'd additionally make it usable by dispensers in a similar manner to buckets, allowing for fully automatic farms.

    Sorry, but a whole new tool for this particular reason would be quite useless. Instead, it could be an enchantment for hoes.

    I could see that, but this wouldn't take away from the use of hoes since they are still needed to make farmland.  Plus, in real life, you don't chop down your wheat with a hoe, they usualy use hedge cutters or sickles.  Plus its another reason why you should level up villagers and not just keep them in a 1x4 area for trading only.

    I think if you made it so one sickle goes in your off hand and one in your hotbar it would be cool

    The tool is needed but the way you described it is not enough, we need Reach I-III as enchantment for the Sickle which will allow it to harvest 3x3, 5x5 and 7x7, also Sickle will harvest grass and seeds from it using the range of the Reach enchantment, Sickle could also been enchanted on Fortune III (to harvest more crops) or to Silk Touch (to harvest vines or other)
