I've always loved brewing potions in the game, but after memorizing all the recipes, there's not much left to do ...
So I thought it would be very interesting to add the main alchemical principles and processes; perhaps in the form of a smaller interlude update between two larger ones, or combined with the archaeological update.
So three new basic components would be added: sulfur, mercury and salt.
Sulfur and mercury would be mixed in cinnabar, a block of reddish mineral (perhaps found in nether), which toasted in the metal roaster would give liquid mercury (putting a bottle in one of the two slots) and crystallized sulfur. Salt, on the other hand, could be obtained by dissolving sand and dirt in a cauldron filled with water, and making evaporating it by placing a campfire under it.
Then, by combining these three elements in the alchemical table, you could produce really existing chemical compounds, such as saltpetre, antimony, acids, etc., compounds capable of healing negative potions and rotten flesh, or using them as new ingredients to make new potions and items.
Finally, speaking of the alchemical processes (workbenches), in addition to the metal roaster and the alchemical table, it could be added the mortar (to calcinate the plants), the alembic (to distill, purify and sublimate), and the old good brewing stand, cauldron and smithing table would have new uses (for example, the cauldron could be used in the java edition, as in the bedrock edition, to color clothes).
