Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Use Shears to stop growth on regular vines

The shears should be able to stop the growth on more items. In 1.18, the items the shears stops growth on is cave vines (glow berries), kelp, weeping vines (red nether vines), and twisting vines (green nether vines). I think the shears should also stop growth on regular vines.

    I agree with this suggestion. The current alternative of using a block, like string, that cannot support vine growth is not a practical workaround.

    Definitely. I cant even grow good looking mangroves or jungle trees near anything because im constantly cutting the vines. Same with overgrown buildings, it become a disaster quickly.

    we need this so bad!! with every update i hope for this to be a feature but still nothing. vines are a really nice decoration but i never use them because it's too annoying...

    Yes please. I'd like to be able to put vines on a block just below a ceiling without the vine growing onto the ceiling in an upside-down L.
