Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

The Allay can help you to craft an item sorter

The Allay is for gathering resources, but you can't have a BIG item sorter with Allays, because you will need hundreds of them to sort all the diferent items in the game, the Allay is a mob and that is a serious lag source. And him is not really practical in a compact item storage.

My solution for that:

If you win the trust of the Allay by giving him items to gather, it will give you an special item wich you can use to craft an item sorter.

You can craft this block with the item that the Allay gave to you and maybe some diamonds or netherite scraps, redstone and a hopper

This block works like a hopper, but it can unload items from all the sides and underneath to chests and other blocks including hoppers, you just need to put in them the item you want to sort and the next items it receives will be unloaded in the chests/barrels, if there is no chest/barrel, the item sorter will just work as a hopper and it will send the items to the next hopper.

    And this will not replace the Allay, this mob collects resources from a large area, the item sorter only classifies the items that you place inside or that enter via hoppers.

    A complement for the Allay

    This is a complement for the Allay, you can have a reasonable number of them gathering resourses;

    They drop the items in the hoppers;

    The hoppers send the items to your storage area;

    The sorters put the selected items in the chests and send the other ones to the next hopper or item sorter;

    Then you have a fully automatic storage area!!, well... maybe the only thingh you have to control is the overflow of extra items, like crops or seeds.

    If the storage is exceded

    If one sorter can't send more items to is assigned chest/barrel/hopper, it will change of color or maybe a light in is texture will start to blink or send a redstone signal who you can use to power a redstone lamp or even a bell, so you can know where the storage capacity was exceeded.

    I don't sure what should happen next, but i have this idea:

    If the limit of the chest is exceded, the sorter will open an emergency storage in itself at the same time it starts to blink an send a redstone signal so you know where the chests are full

    If the player did not solve the problem, the item sorter will let the following items pass even though they are their assigned items.

    Maybe this sound to tecnological for minecraft, but I'm thinking about the future of the game and the number of items that increases with each update.

    The use of this block sounds complicated but it is not if you look closely at how it works as I described it, it is not really complicated and it is quite simple for what is minecraft even for what is an item sorter. And I'm pretty sure the developers can improve it in some way .
