Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Leathered Armor (Armor with Leather in it!)

Have you fallen into Powdered Snow in your fancy Protection IV, Thorns III, etc. Netherite Armor and thought to yourself, "Wow! This is really cold! I should have been wearing my Leather Boots!" as you slowly freeze to death and lose all of your valuable dirt.

Introducing Leathered Armor! With a nice fancy tweak to the Smithing Table now you can combine your Leather Armor with any of your fine metallic suits of steel. This carries over all effects of the Leather Armor (No freezing, Walking on snow) to any piece of armor you wish. 

Personally I think this is a perfectly fine addition though it could be considered "OP" by the armor mixing meta that is established as of now. But if a con needs to be put in place then you could begin to "overheat" (or just lose hunger more rapidly) in warm biomes. (The Nether, Deserts, Mesas, etc)

    Or maybe just keep it more simple and make it to where sometimes you might wanna keep a pair of leather boots on you.

    the point is to make it something you will need to have with you, not just add it to your armor, i keep a pair of leather boots with me where ever i go now

    You could have chainmail armor do the same thing only it does it better than leather armor. This makes sense since in real life you wear a thin lightweight armor underneath your metal plates. Chainmail in the medieval time period was used to stop people from cutting the neck. I would suggest that the combo only help on specific areas on the player so that when an arrow hits or when a wither skeleton isn't hitting you directly on, it reduces the damage. It could also slightly reduce general damage.
