New Deep Dark Weapon: Echo Crossbows (1.19 Ideas)

Echo Crossbows are new types of crossbows that would be found in the jaw-like centerpiece of the Deep Dark Cities. It would look like a normal crossbow, except with an Eye of Ender in the center and a skulk texture that could have an animation too. You would need an Ender Pearl to use it, and when lodged in the string, you can shoot it off to create a Vibration Hotspot. When a hotspot is made, the Warden will ignore all other Skulk Sensors or Shriekers that try to direct it to you for about 30 seconds, and will run over to the Vibration Hotspot. The Warden won’t go there if the pearl lands in water, lava and/or powdered snow. The Warden won’t stay around there for long, so you can either run, or sneak somewhere else. To keep the bow from being to OP, it has the same durability as stone tools. It also uses up the pearl upon use.
You can also you the Echo Crossbow to shoot Ender Pearls at mobs to randomly teleport them if hit. This feature doesn’t work on the Ender Dragon, the Wither, the Warden, or any non-creature entities, like Armor Stands or Minecarts.

Edit: It’s been a while, but now that Echo Shards have been revealed, its obvious that they should be used in tandem with the Echo Crossbow. I don’t know if they could be used in place of Ender Pearls for ammo, but they would probably have to be made more common and maybe craft some type of Echoing Arrow. This could probably be in 1. 20 or something.

    perhaps instead of looking like a crossbow, they are a new weapon, like a staff. Also, they should NOT be craftable, and use eyes of ender, not ender pearls. You dont have to agree but please consider it. thank you. =)

    Yeah, I agree that it shouldn’t be crafted, and instead be exclusively found in loot chests. However, when I wrote this post, I considered using Eyes of Ender. But then I realized that you would need to get to the Nether and kill an Enderman, and that just felt like too much for one bit of ammo. An Enderpearl is, while more common, still harder to get than Arrows. I also think that, while yes, a staff would be cool, I think that the ancient civilization that lived in the Deep Dark Cities could’ve made a new, enhanced form of Crossbow, to show their evolutionary advantages.

    Cool ideas though!
