Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Scorching sand

This block would spawn semi- frequently in the desert and would provide a interesting challenge to travelling across it. If you're on it for too long (similar to powder snow), you would start taking burn damage. This is avoidable by placing water on the block to turn it into normal sand, or by wearing iron boots, diamond or netherite boots (this would slowly drain armour durability.)

    If they added a camel mob, you could safely ride a camel across scorching sand.
