The Spider Forest could be a new biome. This biome would generate a new type of tree that grows tall (10-15 blocks) and the leaves would block light. This would allow for more mob spawning, specifically spiders. There would be cobwebs all over that attract spiders when you touch/ break it. Another addition could be glow mushrooms (Similar to Minecraft Dungeons) as a new ambient light source. When crafted with an arrow, you would get an exploding arrow. (Similar to how they explode in Dungeons) They wouldn't break blocks, rather they would create a small blast force that pushes entities away. Along with the normal cobwebs, maybe there would be sticky cobwebs. Instead of making you walk or fall slowly, these sticky cobwebs would completely halt all movement, including item drops. The only way out would be to break it. This could potentially be used to make a potion of climbing, which would allow you to climb up vertical walls like spiders do. Hunger would decrease faster, like sprinting, to compensate. There could be one or two new types of spiders that are indigenous to the Spider Forest. It would be a neutral mob that only attacks once you've attacked it. One of these new spiders could make golden string when you feed it fireflies. This could be smelted down into gold nuggets/ be used make golden wool. Mud blocks could also spawn here. Randomly generated in a Spider Forest could be a Spider Nest. Spiders would lay eggs here. Walking on them would make baby spiders come out.
