Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Copper, Iron and Gold Buttons.

Since wooden and stone buttons have slightly different signal duration, what if metal buttons were also slightly different. I was thinking you could hold down the button and the longer you hold it, the longer the signal duration lasts.

    They mentioned Copper Buttons in the Copper Golem's teaser. Just because the Copper Golem didn't get added doesn't mean the buttons shouldn't! More buttons would be great, even if they were just more decorative versions of normal buttons.

    As for crafting, if you put an ingot in a workbench, then we will get pieces of this metal. To make buttons, perhaps redstone dust should be added. In any case, this will not make redstone dust in short supply.

    I think a Gold button would make much sense to add....
    both in terms already being a thing for pressureplates but also would be a truly awesome item for decorations.

    it would be a huge QoL to have a gold version too same as pressure plates.
