Minecraft, it seems to me, is a game in which you can build and survive in different game modes. We would really like the game to be updated not only visually, but also technically.
At the moment, developers want to add a lot of different and interesting mobs, update caves, create new blocks to make the game more interesting.
However, the answer lies on the surface. Minecraft will not become more interesting if you add something to it. Over the past 10 years, the world has changed and games have also begun to change, but not Minecraft. Minecraft has a lot of things that need to be made more modern. I'm not saying that the game should be realistic, because it's a pixel game. Yes, that's right - it's a pixel game, but it's old, there are a lot of things in it that need improvement. I won't say directly what needs to be updated, but I can point in the right direction with a few examples.
In Minecraft, you can still swim the oceans in a minute, and in the desert, 500 blocks wide, you can meet a lot of water lakes.
Make smooth movement of mobs.
And the most important thing is to change the mechanics of each biome. No matter how much you change their appearance, they will still have the same foundation. If you remove snow and trees in a winter biome, no one will guess that this is a snow biome.
