Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

    It would be a neat way to put away/ hide enchanted books or written books.

    maybe as you add a book to an empty book case it gets filled up

    I love this idea, and also think it could be how to build up enchanting with making it so the level increases by how many enchanted books are in the surrounding shelves. This does make enchanting more grinding, but to balance a new table that would allow the player to choose enchantments from the book cases to apply without consuming the book. It would require more XP and lapis, but you basically would copy the enchant from a book to an item. Finding new spells and building them up would still be RNG with the original table, but it would make later game enchanting more directed and purposeful.

    Book cases with book inventory has play value.  Libraries with actual content. I've been looking for this.
