Increased copper ore generation in Badlands

Most people know about the Gold Rush which is probably where the Badlands gets it theme. But gold wasn't the only thing that miners came for. Miners also rushed to mine silver, zinc, lead, and ...

COPPER!

Since you can already find more gold ore and abandoned mineshafts in the Badlands, I'd be appropriate to find more copper ore there as well. Copper and gold can naturally be found together, which is why copper mines often recover gold as well.

So that is my reasoning why copper should generate more abundantly along with gold and mineshafts in the Badlands.

  No, the Badlands have that unique generation of gold, and adding other mineral to this generation would rip-off it's unique style.

  Copper already generates in increased amounts in Dripstone Caves. Gameplay > Realism
