Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Special tool abilities with Smithing Table

My idea is that Smithing Table could apply a special ability to a tool. This ability then could only be removed by grindstone even if the ability is over and the tool has enchantments. Netherite tools count as upgrades.

Wood - 1UP - When tool breaks, it recovers durability depending on rarity of the Wood type (Oak 15%, Warped 100%) 

Cobbled Deepslate - +1 tool level - Tool will be able to mine/deal dmg above its level 

Gold ingot - +1 speed level - Tool will be faster Lapis - -50% level cost - Tool is cheeper to repair and enchant 

Netherite - +1 tool level, +100% durability speed level - Tool is over all better 

Chorus fruit - Magnet - Teleports mined or looted items into inventory 

And more. 

It would make the Smithing Table a second coming of the enchanting table and would give the tools a whole new dimension of customisability and new uses to lower level tools.

For example, with the coming of the new Deepslate, giving a golden pickaxe the netherite upgrade and max efficiency enchantments would make it a viable tool for instant mining.

    I like the idea of the smithing table allowing minor upgrades and customizing the texture of armor based on the material used, I'm not sure if they should overlap with things cover by enchantments or could be new enchantments though.

    Obisidan=+1 to tool level, adds a darker edge (or a fire obsidian like texture)

    Emerald=+1 to enchant ability adds a green edge

    Terracotta= adds texture/color to armor/tool edge gives a probably chance of silk touch

    Glowstone dust= adds glow effect look on armor (and if they get dynamic lighting going adds to that as well)

    I'd also like to use the smithing table to upgrade between armor/tool grades though to balance it may require some XP to achieve that function.
