Horses should be buffed

Mojang said in the changelog of experimental snapshot 7 that they want to nerf elytra and make other forms of transport used more often. I think horses should have multiple changes to make them more viable. You should be able to put enchantments like frost walker on horse armor. This would make traveling across rivers and oceans much easier with a horse. Also, they should move faster while riding over path blocks similar to how the player walks faster on soul sand with soul speed. Finally, there should be a way to further boost a horse’s speed and jump boost (maybe an enchantment).

    I like the idea of path blocks giving horses a speed buff and I've heard others mentioning that it would be a great buff.
    I actually dislike the idea of enchantments being used with horses but instead how about horses gaining stats the more the horse uses each of it's abilities, such as jumping at critical mark enough times allows higher jumps.
    Also a problem I usually have early on is that saddles are hard to find, so they should be craftable with a lead, leather and iron ingots.

    It's been a decade, we need a horse buff! Definitely enchanted horse armor including feather falling. I think we deserve netherite horse armor, since it's not craftable it can be an end-specific treasure or upgraded using the diamond one at the upgrade bench. Two-player riding would be nice, and I would love leaves to be easier to traverse by lowering or removing the collision hitbox while riding through leaves. Basically, make it so that while on horseback you can travel through leaves. Horse whistles and horseshoes are great mods that I think should come to vanilla but I understand that they might not fit the theme of vanilla. I think horse whistle because dogs and cats can teleport but horses can not. This would give you ease of use while sacrificing an inventory slot. I'll pray for some horse buffs in 1.22
