Tame previously tamed wolves

Say your friend Nat3569 (EX) had a wolf tamed, but they stopped playing forever. What if you wanted a wolf but they stole the wolf that you wanted? If this idea gets added into Minecraft, then all you have to do is get a name tag with a new dog name and put it on them! Then you stole/adopted their wolf! I would love this because I play a realm called MiracleSMP (CODE: 2XzQc3K9v-E) and I found an unknown dog. I'm living with him and I refuse to let him go before I tame him or his owner comes back. My cords are 260, 78, 656 if you are his owner btw. ADD THIS TO JAVA AND BEDROCK PLEASE

    That's a bad idea. Then trolls would go around stealing people's pets and that would suck. Instead, there should be a way to transfer ownership from one player to another.
