Waterfalls Carving Into Mountains

When a single water source block generates in the side of a mountain and it runs down the side to look like a waterfall, it looks more like someone spilled a water bucket and didn't pick it back up. I think in the pre-world generation, have waterfalls carve into the side of mountains like rivers in the game and waterfalls in real life. That way, it could be possible to have waterfall entrances into caves and give them more life as the mountains get updated.

  i love then idea of flowing water actually being implemented as a generation change.  maybe the waterlogged caves could be exposed sometimes and create water falls
