When one thinks of unbalanced weapons they usually think of a stone axe right? But is it really that unbalanced? The short answer is yes but let me explain. So comparatively a stone sword compared to a stone axe is 9 damage vs 10, this is because in the time you can get one stone axe hit you can get two stone sword hits, but there’s a few things to take into account, the first is that when you’re charging into a fight you don’t need to worry about the the cool down for the first hit since you most likely already have it charged. The second thing to consider is that it’s not always about DPS. Faster weapons tend to have a higher DPS but need more hits to reach that DPS, what does more hits mean? More opportunities to miss them. Let’s say your hit accuracy is 50%. With the stone axe since you only need one hit you’ll land one devastating blow. With the stone sword you’ll land one tiny chip.
