Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

A use for cracked blocks

You are mining in a cave, suddenly  the ground beneath  you gives out and you fall into a blazing pit of lava.

This would be another danger for caves/mine shafts, temples, and even mansions.

If you stand on a cracked  block for to long, it will break. 

How can you make a cracked block? 

Block requiring a pickaxe to break- shift, or sneak and hit block with  pick.

Wooden blocks: same idea, but with an axe and don't  accidentally  strip logs.

    I like the idea of standing on a cracked block for a period of time but it would mess up natural strutures and peoples builds a way to stop it would be good like waxing a copper block.

    A block that isn't  cracked to begin  with, in a building  won't  crack unless  the player does it with a pickaxe or axe.

    I believe that cracked blocks should fall down immediately if someone steps on them.
