Most melee mobs suffer from the problem that they can easily be killed if the player either pillars up above them or traps them in an area where they can’t reach the player. Mojang has said that the warden isn’t something that the player should try and kill, but instead should use strategy and use it’s echolocation against it. An idea to decrease the player’s incentive to kill the warden is to add an effect that might be called Fright, which you would get from looking at the warden. The effect would temporarily make the player unable to place blocks. This would mean that it would be more difficult to just pillar up above the warden and kill it. The effect shouldn’t last very long though, or else the warden will be too difficult.
