When it comes to Pillagers, "Peace was never an option."

You can't trade with hostile mobs, and besides, even if you could they would use Emeralds just like Villagers.

They would never add sapphire as we already have lapis, it's the same deal as ruby and redstone

to the guy saying pillagers are hostile

i mean maybe if you hold out the item in front of them they could become nuetral once you start trading

and to the guy who said we already have lapis yeah i know we do but im just saying maybe a blue kind of texture similar to emerald and a brighter blue than lapis and i mean a tradeable ore like emerald is so it has a different use than enchanting

Think of it from a lore standpoint...

Why would a Pillager trade with you to get Sapphires when they could just kill you and take them and the rest of your possessions? They're Pillagers for a reason... they don't exactly play nice.

When he says they already have Lapis he's referring to the coloration. Emeralds were originally going to be Rubies, but they thought people would confuse it for Redstone so they made them green instead. It's the same deal with Sapphires and Lapis.

The devs don't like adding similar colored ores and stuff.
