Steam/Steam Deck Release for Bedrock

Release Minecraft Bedrock on Steam so not only we can get Bedrock on Mac and Linux but on Valve's exciting new device!

    It's embarrassing that it's not already on the deck!
    Something tells me this is intentional at this point and maybe Microsoft doesn't want to give the Stream Deck more steam to succeed.

    Prove me wrong Microsoft & Mojang. You know what you're doing and it's incredibly obvious.

    All my friends play on Bedrock but i'm a Linux guy and i refuse to use Windows to play Minecraft as it is against my religion. Please make Bedrock work on desktop Linux/Steam Deck

    Technically you can install it on your Deck in desktop mode and add minecraft to steam as non steam game...

    Better Linux launcher support overall, but I have almost entirely on my Steam Deck now anyways, and I can usually run anything that runs on Steam Deck on pretty flavours of Linux anyway.

    Please and thank you! This is one of the few things that you can't do on a stock Steamdeck, would love to make it the ultimate all-in-one device.

    Considering Minecraft just got released on Chromebook (linux), and that every other Minecraft game is releasing on Steam, this would be the logical next step!

    Well, I'd vote for a Linux Launcher, so we can have an easy, accesible Java version too. Besides, it would help to other linux-based devices.

    I would honestly buy the game again if a Steam Deck friendly version of Bedrock were released. Already have Java on it, but my son prefers Bedrock.

    A good and "Easy" way to do this is to make the game avaible on steam Just as it is so proton handle the rest, so we only need the windows version of bedrock supported on steam and then steam will do the rest of the job!

    I definitely agree. Right now I don't really play minecraft, but not because it's not on steam deck, but because I only play games that are on steam. If you could release the game on steam then you'd get some money from me haha

    I cannot express how much I want this. Not having access to cloud saves and access on my Steam Deck is exactly what's preventing me from playing this again.
