Steam/Steam Deck Release for Bedrock

Release Minecraft Bedrock on Steam so not only we can get Bedrock on Mac and Linux but on Valve's exciting new device!

    Please do this. I already have the official Java launcher on my Steam Deck. I would buy the bedrock on Steam in a heartbeat. This would give you all so much money please do it.

    Please, PLEASE, PLEEAAASE consider what can be done to release a launcher on Steam as Microsoft has done for numerous titles. I don't know how much influence the developers or the individual reading this actually have, but this is probably the best opportunity I'll have to beg someone to solve my petty gamer problem. It already feels like a hassle to play Minecraft (especially via the god-forsaken Xbox app), let alone on Steam Deck which demands any of a few complicated methods just to get one of the least resource-demanding games of the 2010s running. I can lazily install a third-party launcher that magically runs damn near the entirety of my Epic library with no issue, I can easily install Battle.net and run everything I own there, and I can quickly tap into Xcloud by following Microsoft's tutorial; but Minecraft, which seems to me the ideal game to play on such a configurable portable device, feels like too great an ask of time and hoop-jumping to even bother. I actually did do it once, and after some slightly frustrating control-mapping it worked well, but when the time came to factory reset the Deck for a regular "cleaning" it didn't feel worth it to bother doing all that again. To be clear, my interest in playing Minecraft on the Deck hasn't at all diminished, I just wish it wasn't one of the most obnoxious games in my purview to install on it. Steam Deck very literally enabled me to play more games more often, and I still kinda wish Minecraft was one of those games.

    Please do this. I’ve got Minecraft on pretty much every platform but steam deck is my preferred device. I don’t mind paying for it again.

    No point in a Java release on Steam (unless it's just a free launcher download)

    I want all Minecraft content to be made available to play on my Steam Deck natively via SteamOS. Please get this done. Minecraft, Minecraft Dungeons, and the upcoming Minecraft Legends should all be playable natively on Steam Deck via SteamOS.

    The Bedrock edition would be perfect on the Deck! Please do this! It would be awesome to be able to play with my son as he plays on his tablet with the controls and performance given with the Deck.
