The armor is different. And I don't mean materials or enchantments. In reality, armor can be made of the same material, but at the same time have different properties, different strengths. Compare "frog-mouth helm" and "szyszak" these are two metal helmets, but which are different.
According to my idea, a new serious application may appear at the blacksmith's table. The standard helmet can be transformed by using something similar to the flag pattern, but the found blueprint and some material. A new slot for the blueprint will appear on the table.
Of course, this is not a substitute for enchanting and obtaining new, more optimal material. This re-forging will only be a manipulation of several characteristics, such as protection, protection area, durability, visibility, movement speed, resistance to knockback, material economy. If you improve one, you worsen the other. Players will be able to choose something suitable for themselves.
