Increase the size/rarity of lush caves since they now feel a bit too small.

Monsters spawn on 0 light level is bad idea. That game is already too easy

Hello dear Mojang. I really appreciate all of your hard work on the new update, as it will change the game forever. I would like to point out that the new cave generation can sometimes be more exposed that it should in the surface. I do not know if it is a bug, but in my opinion, caves should not be too exposed to the surace, as it could alter the already new world generation.
By the way, I LOVE the new height generation, as it can give many more build opportunities and make minecraft singleplayer and multiplayer with friends very exciting. Finding forest on cloud level, giant cliffs being split from a river, climbing big mountains is super exciting. However, a big problem is that I can see random floating islands where they should not have been excisted, this has been a problem forever, and I think that it should be fixed if possible. Another problem is the generation of structures, especially villages, I think that villagers should generate where the land is suitable, as I can often see villages really difficult to walk in when they are near or on tall heights.
I really appreciate your work with the new upcoming update, I know that you are working really hard on improving our Minecraft experience. However, we still all know that this is only an experiment, and most of the stuff added will be changed in the future.
I hope that you will take consideration of my feedback.
    Much love from the community.

It will be nice to have the same biomes in the same locations for a seed between 1.17 and 1.18

My Survival World in 1.17 is in a Plains biome near an ocean and a village, but in 1.18 snapshot it was a dark oak forest and no village was in sight. So it would be nice if we had some consistency

There is a bug causing icebergs to generate beneath the ocean into caves up until y=23. you can see it at these coordinates -178 23 453 on this seed -6084451680265118221

The new generation is absolutely beautiful.

However, sometimes very small biomes spawn in seemingly random places, giving you random patches of badlands, jungle or desert.

Hills might be a bit too common, there is possibly too little flat land.

I think wider rivers and waterfalls could really make it look good

Biome Plains in my opinion should have small hills, not these current big hills.

Thanks and sorry for bad English.

Wider rivers are something that I felt were necessary for a long time, so I'm glad this was added - even for an experimental snapshot. I still believe it could use some more tweaking though, so the rivers become even longer, thus becoming a new way to travel the terrain, essentially becoming water "streets".

The new weird and funky terrain generation is really refreshing and interesting, and I'd like to see this or something similar in the new generation. Meadows also are a nice addition, although I believe that that blue orchid should stay swamp exclusive - it gives the player a reason to travel to a otherwise less liked and populated area, and potentially a way to show the player that slimes exist there which would otherwise be potentially lost. Maybe let the meadows be a mix of low bushes (leaves), low grass, low flowers, perhaps a dot of moss or two. Or a new flower, exclusive to the meadow biome.

Mobspawning as a gamerule, as others have mentioned - giving more control and freedom to the players who play in this sandbox-game is always good.

One last thing: The Azalea should get it's own log - we've had only a handful of logs so far, and each had their own logtype. Using oak as a placeholder is fine, but it's a lazy modded thing to do if it's being kept, and opens the door to hundreds of trees of different shaped and sizes, but all being "oak", which is sad.

Hello dear mojang team, there are a lot of bugs in the 1,18 experimental snapshot so here are the bugs i found is that the mesa biome is too common and  there should be more cave biomes and blocks shouldn’t be floating around also add some waterfalls on the mountains so it would look much natural and also add more structures. thanks for your attention

The new world generator is very nice. The problem with this snapshot is the small biomes that spawn in 1 to 4 chunks. As for the appearance of mobs only at level 0 lights, I am in favor, although it would be good to give the option to adjust the appearance of mobs before creating the world, as this may make the gameplay difficult for some.

    Heya Mojang!
Love the new snapshot! It's awesome. But just some thoughts. . . for the above ground generation, perhaps lower the chance of a big cave generating on the surface to 2/3, and replace some with smaller caves like before. Thanks!

I really like the world generation, great job! It's not very laggy, as i thought it might be, and i really like the sunken caves, and the ones below lakes. I think it really makes exploration and mining much more interesting.

Mojang hello, the new world generation is enormous and amazing! I think the playing experience will be much better now.
But, I recommend to focus less on world additions, but work about more playing options. For example more food, technology, dimensions and more.
Thanks for your attention, Good luck!

I think the new generation looks amazing but the lush caves are too huge, my whole underground is just a giant lush cave.

Dear mojang team, these are the bugs i found while i was playing these are the folowing bugs that i found=

Badlands biome is very common and it is near not-warm biomes.                                  Mountains are amazing but there are many floating blocks that are not connected to the mountains.Lush caves are found on the platform which is very weird and caves should not have large opening on the mountains instead they should have a bit smaller openings.thanks for the attention

I love the new generation but I would love to see higher mountains and more "mountain peaks"

I'm a big fan of the new world generation, and I'm sure you're already aware of the world gen bugs (Small biomes and biome blobs showing up in the wrong places, etc.). But one of these bugs has a cool effect, making the above-ground biomes 'leak' into caves exposed to the surface. You can find trees, sand and other things underground because of this. I think this should be kept in the game, since it makes the transition between overworld and underground smoother

This update is epic! but some biomes are too small and they are not reasonable, for example, about 15x15 block size beach appears in the middle of the forest and even 3x3 block size forest appears between the river and the beach

hello dear creators! Below I list my feelings and suggestions after playing

I love the new look of mountains. The mountain is wider than before, and the field of vision is wider, giving me a feeling of "I can breathe"

inside of lush caves are pretty good to. But I hope can add one or more entrances to the cave will have more surprises and more reality. In addition, I hope to add some fish to the pool water, such as blind fish.

Finally I love the classic texture,I hope it addable in the new version soon!

I really thank you guys for reading my content, I'll always supporting you guys!

      love Minecraft

dear developers, I propose to add a heat scale as when you are in loose snow, but so that it still exists when you rise above block 256 and in order not to freeze you need to wear leather armor.

first off, i really like the idea of the terrain generation changes but i think at the moment it is a bit too much and the height should be toned down. i would also like to see more early beta like generation make a come back. ex. the beta beaches were great. and the mob light spawning thing should be made a gamerule

Currently, the mountains on java do not look like bedrock's mountains that are really tall and jagged, unlike java's that are smooth. I want java's mountains to look like bedrock's mountains with 3d biomes stacked together instead of separated like java's. I feel like the 5 mountain sub-biomes in java should never generate in flatter lands and only should be exclusively generated in more higher altitudes like on bedrock's generation.

The more aggressive terrain generation is a nice change of pace, however I do notice something strange with the mountain generation in Java compared to Bedrock.

In Java, I noticed the lofty peaks and snowcapped peaks biomes tend to be a lot more flattened out and smaller than in Bedrock. I've also encountered lofty peaks that were far below the cloud line with meadows that were of a higher elevation than the peaks biome right next to it in Java. (Seed: 1660699153, Loc: 1825, 120, 2783).

I noticed a lot of biomes in this test snapshot were way smaller than usual, and chaotic, and so I thought it might just be the biomes for the mountaintops were just too small to generate properly. So I did a test of a single biome world of only lofty peaks to see if that might produce better results. It resulted in similar terrain but more flattened out than before.

My guess is it can either be a result of the biomes somehow being different between Java and Bedrock, the biome change this snapshot is testing, or simply the difference between Java and Bedrock generation.

I think it is fair to say that you guys have knocked it out of the park with the shape of the landscape in this experimental version, though the big thing that stands out as needing improvement is the biome distribution. Things like small or oddly shaped biomes, temperature clashes and structures appearing when their biome is present at any Y-level (E.g. desert temples appearing on the surface because a desert biome is present deep below the surface, a side effect of 3D biomes). Although since I think you guys are mostly aware of these issues, I do want to bring up something else.

The badlands biome was created with a very specific shape in mind, to mimic the canyons in real life, and I think this is lost in the new generation. More than perhaps any other biome, the badlands had a unique shape, and even more unique subvariants like the eroded badlands which is likely impossible in this new terrain. I think it would be nice if the badlands kept this structure somehow with the new generation.

The other minor biome I think might need more attention is the swamp. Swamps have previously been very flat, and I think because of this very few of them appear in this experimental generation. Swamps can have hills of course, but they should keep their water-logged appearance with patches of water and dry land all over the place.

Perhaps plains and desert could have a tendancy to be flatter too? That is only an afterthought.

Thanks for the great new terrain gen!
