Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Sawmill

The Sawmill can be used to cheaply cut down planks into fences, fence gates, doors, trapdoors, etc. Some recipes will need multiple planks, e.g. 2 planks for a door. You should still get 1 fence for 1 plank, since the math works out. The Lumberjack Villager could use this as a profession block.

    (Java) I always Datapack in wood recipes for the stonecutter, but it would be nice for a raw in-game approach for a very common thing Java users add. Now for some recipes obvious, you have to still craft based on the math (boats are one I know for sure), but there's a lot a sawmill could do when you are short on wood or just need that 1 door as opposed to 2, reducing that extra inventory.
