The wooden cane, or cane for short, is an item with a few uses for the Mountains and other mechanics. The cane can be used as a weapon, but it would deal the same amount of damage as a wooden sword, or a little less damage than that. One of its purposes that distinguish it from other items is that it is a counter to powder snow. Even though goats can detect the snow, sometimes they can knock you off the mountains as they trail. When in use, you can feel the snow and if it is regular snow, you can feel it, but not tremble through the snow layers. If it is powder snow, you can feel it and tremble into the layers of the powder snow and see how deep the snow is. While sticking the cane in snow/powder snow, the cane will shake, thus wearing out the cane and using up the durability. Also, when shaking, the snow gives off particles. The reason this differs from the leather boots is because unlike leather boots, which protect you from falling in the powder snow, the cane tests how deep the powder snow is and whether the snow is regular or snowier. The durability after a few uses make it not super reliable, nor super useless.
