A way to permanently increase your hearts

You could craft something similar to a heart container (from a mod, probably based off of the legend of zelda series) but it would be challenging. Perhaps someone would need to use four enchanted golden apples, four nether stars, and a mending book into a crafting table in order to get one, which would increase their hearts permanently by 1 hit point. There might be a way to remove those hearts again, such as dying, or the wither effect.

Here is the crafting recipe I had in mind, with each item's initials for representation.

    This is a grate idea but I think it should be tweaked a bit so that thoes who guain the extra hitpoints can keep them simmilarly to skills. Its like chopping wood in minecraft. You never forget that you need wood first before getting deep into the game. I think this sgould be tweeked so that the player doesent lose it from wither effect or fall damage or even poison. It would be better if they only lost it after dying. If its hard to obtane it should be difficult to lose. Like makeing a fire aspect sward. The only ways to actualy lose it arebif it breaks or if one looses it to lava, fire, or despawning from the timer.
