Hear me out, abyss ore in minecraft. What is it exactly? Well, abyss ore would be found near the bottom of the void in the end dimension in small islands. The spawn rate could be very low, but for a good reason. Abyss ore can be mined into "raw abyss ore", if you obtain 4 abyss ore, and combine that with ender pearls. It could craft abyss ingots. Now, instead of making armor and tools with a crafting table with abyss ore, why not use the smithing table? Combining an abyss ingot with any netherite armor and tools could get your hands on some nice abyss gear! What does this do exactly? Well, when you fall into the void, it would levitate you back up so you won't die! Pretty cool right? And it should be more powerful than netherite!
Now, how do we make it more challenging to get other then spawn rate? Well, that's where the "Abyss Protecter" comes in, I imagine the Abyss Protector will guard the ores and does a TON of damage to the player! These guys may be hard to defeat, but I'd say it's worth it! No more need to worry about dying in the void!
