Description:
The current Taiga feels repetitive. I propose a realistic overhaul of coniferous forests by adding diverse tree species, dense undergrowth, and a new utility resource: Resin.
1. New Tree Species:
Cedar: Massive trees with thick trunks. Their wood is resistant to rot and has a unique reddish-brown color.
Larch: A unique conifer that changes color. Its needles turn golden before falling, providing a dynamic seasonal atmosphere.
Silver Fir: Tall trees that grow in dense clusters, creating a dark, atmospheric forest effect.
2. Resin (Tree Sap) Mechanics:
Collection: Resin can be gathered from coniferous trunks using a glass bottle.
Usage: Resin acts as a natural adhesive. It can be used to craft Reinforced Torches that stay lit in the rain or as a sealant to protect wooden blocks from fire.
3. Dense Undergrowth:
Blueberries and Cranberries: Small bushes found in mossy areas. They provide a quick food source and dyes.
Juniper: Sharp, low-growing bushes that deal minor damage but drop berries used for brewing.
Ferns and Moss Carpets: Thicker layers of ground cover that muffle footstep sounds, making it easier to sneak.
4. Atmosphere:
Fallen Logs: Naturally spawning horizontal logs covered in moss and mushrooms, adding a realistic old-growth feel.
Summary: This update adds depth to forestry and provides new survival tools like Resin, making the Taiga a rich and atmospheric resource hub.
