It would be interesting if the weather system in Minecraft had more variations inspired by real life. Before rain starts, for example, there could be a period of overcast skies, where clouds cover the sky and the sunlight becomes weaker, giving the world a more grayish tone even without rain. At times, fog could also appear, greatly reducing visibility and hiding mountains and trees, which would fit especially well in cold biomes or swamps.
In addition, there could be drizzle, a very light and quiet rain with smaller particles, and stronger storms that appear after a period of dark clouds and wind. In cold biomes, snowstorms or blizzards could occur, with heavy snow and low visibility. Strong winds could also occasionally appear, gently moving trees, pushing particles, and even slightly affecting the trajectory of arrows.
Other interesting phenomena could include frost in cold regions, where plants and some blocks gain a thin layer of ice in the morning, dry thunderstorms with lightning but no rain, and dust storms in deserts, where the sky becomes yellowish and visibility decreases. These variations would make the weather feel much more dynamic and make the world feel more alive and natural. 🌦️
During rain, blocks could also have small dripping water animations, and continue dripping for a short time after the rain stops, making the environment feel more realistic and giving the impression that the world actually got wet. 💧
